Initiating local community action:
I role model action. I submitted this local community action proposal to the PYP Coordinator and Vice Principal for a Gr4 UOI 'Classification of Living Things' unit. I saw this as a powerful, authentic and engaging way for students to investigate and study living things in their local environment.

Catering for diverse needs of students.
My students' English literacy levels range from a reception level to Grade 5-6 level, I provide multiple, varied and flexible options for representation, expression and engagement. All of my students, including two students with special needs achieved success with this booklet.

Developing International students
My students have broad perspectives and share experiences. I initiated and established connection with a PYP school in Australia for my Grade 5 class to build intercultural understanding and engage students through authentic contexts to communicate both Mandarin and English using Moodle as it's platform.
